What is happiness? There are certainly many opinions throughout the centuries what constitutes happiness. Is it pleasure, virtue, intellectual, emotional? Does it exist and is it attainable? Mahatma Gandhi gives a beautiful insight: “Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.” We often think one thing but say another thing. Sometimes our thoughts and expressions are the same but we act differently. We can only say that we truly believe something if we think, say and do the same thing. This represents harmony, which leads to happiness or is an indication that we are happy.
